Background
The story so far
Rags 2 Richmond started as a web series — 28 episodes chasing one dreamer’s run at a Vancouver pageant crown. Clips from the show caught fire online, racking up over 9 million views before a single frame of the feature had been shot.
The show’s breakout single, “Low Key,” carried the momentum further, charting on Music Core and turning a scrappy passion project into a soundtrack audiences couldn’t stop streaming.
That groundswell earned the project recognition from Viral Nation and an award at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival — validation that set the stage for the feature now heading to TIFF The Market.
